April 8, 2019

Say goodbye to those cold wintery days and snow because it’s officially spring! Hello blooming flowers and sunshine! With warmer days and beautiful weather, there is so much more to do in the area. So, stay up-to-date with all of the fun things happening around you!

Harbor Point is Ready to Party!

This upcoming April and May, there are a few lively events coming your way. So, keep an eye out for these much anticipated activities right in Harbor Point.

Tacos n’ Taps

Don’t wait for Cinco de Mayo! On April 27th, the 2nd Annual Tacos n’ Taps will be partying away in Central Plaza from 1pm – 5pm for just $30 per ticket. Also, kids 12 and under are admitted for free. This festival offers all you care to taste beer, margaritas, and tequila. Not 21 just yet? Don’t worry—Taco n’ Taps is so much more. If you like Mexican food, there will be over 15 local food trucks that serve almost any taco imaginable. If you’re too scared to join in on the hot pepper eating contest, there will also be great boutiques, a piñata playground, and lawn activities and games. This is NACHO average taco festival!

Spring into the Sandlot

The Sandlot is having their grand opening on May 3rd! Cool down on warmer days with kombuchas, cocktails, slushies, and other locally crafted beverages. Not 21 or older? There is more than just alcohol here: great eateries, virgin beverages, and splendid views of the marina. Anyone is welcome, even kids! The Sandlot brings beachy vibes right to you! Make sure to check their Instagram for any weather-related closures.

Viva Vida!

Cinco de Mayo? Don’t forget about Cuatro De Mayo, May 4th, at Vida Taco Bar Harbor Point from noon until 10. Tickets are $10 per person and when bought online, you will receive a free drink/food token! The festival has live music, a DJ, and even a mariachi band. Who doesn’t enjoy listening to great music while enjoying local flavors? Beyond the food and music, there will be 9 different spirit brands hand-crafting beverages. Also, don’t worry about missing the Kentucky Derby because they will be airing that as well!

Don’t Forget About Fells!

Don’t forget about these fun activities happening right around the corner from Harbor Point. Fells Point is hosting some entertaining events this Spring:

See and Be Scene at Ampersea

On April 12th, Ampersea is having their annual Spring Fling Patio Opening from 5pm – 10pm with unmatched waterfront views, great music, and outstanding beverages. What more could anyone want? Can’t make it on the 12th? Don’t worry! Ampersea is also having Night Golf on the Harbor on April 13th from 9pm – 11pm. Enjoy the nice spring breeze with family and friends laughing the night away. Also, the golf balls are biodegradable, so don’t worry about missed shots that land in the water! Smooth Operations

Interested in the arts and some smooth jazz? May 11th marks the Jazz and Art Festival from 11 am – 7 pm. This event is also FREE to attend and supports local artisans. While listening to some local music and enjoying local eateries, talk to artists and possibly purchase a few pieces for your home!

Get Your Closet Ready
Nearby Harbor East is hosting their 8th annual fashion show, FashionEASTa, on April 27th from noon – 5 pm. So, stow away those bulky winter jackets and go get some spring and summer pieces that your wardrobe craves! This fashion show offers gorgeous attire from local boutiques and stores that will make you want to strut your stuff! Oh, and there’s more than just shopping and fashion.
