Kids Learn by Doing at the Maryland Science Center

August 18, 2017

The Maryland Science Center is one of the few places where kids can get in a food fight and not only avoid punishment, but actually earn praise for their actions. Food fights are all part of the learning process in the Science and Main exhibit at the Maryland Science Center, where Chaos Cafe invites pint-sized guests to fling faux food using the catapult, an exercise in velocity.

Chaos Cafe is just one example of how the Maryland Science Center makes learning fun and engaging. The Dinosaur Mysteries exhibit is another popular spot to educate kiddos. It has more than 10 full-sized dino skeletons on display for youngsters to ogle. They can actually participate in a dig in one of the excavation pits or follow the trail of a dinosaur by walking in his footsteps. Other exhibits explore concepts like electricity, the human body, and outer space, so there's plenty to see, do, and learn at the Maryland Science Center.
