What better way to celebrate your birthday than to throw yourself a birthday party that lasts all summer long? That's how the Maryland Science Center has chosen to celebrate its 40th birthday: with 40 Summers of Science, a collection of events to help celebrate four decades of the beloved science center.
The celebration kicked off this year on June 11th, forty years to the day that the science center first opened its doors. Over the course of the rest of the summer, The Maryland Science Center continues to host events like MessFest, BubbleDays and Patio Parties on Friday evenings. Lots of events will have the appropriate theme of “40,” like dropping 40 paint-filled balloons from the roof of the science center. Make sure to visit the Maryland Science Center before the 40 Summers of Science event ends on September 5.
